Super enjoyed this musical play with Honey! Brought to the local shores of Manila, Spelling Bee is a one-act award winning musical play with music and lyrics by William Finn and a book by Rachel Sheinkin (that's according to Wikipedia).I was really excited for the surprise celebrity spellers and the audience spellers. How would they fare? Miss Weatherhead made an impressive job (she's an audience participant). The celebrity guests were Leo Martinez and Lexi Schulze. They were all great sports that night.
It was a really fun, laugh-out-loud kind of musical, something that everyone in the little theater enjoyed. My favorite speller? Hmm..probably Leaf Coneybear and his trance spelling haha. Miss Peretti and Mitch Mahoney's singing voice were astounding. Grabe galeng!
We'll be saving up for Avenue Q next year! yay. :)
